Old history but very interesting.
The general manager of Jordanian National Electricity Company, Wadah Nabulsi, announced that the electric grid between Jordan and Egypt was put into experimental service.
He said this project aims at linking the Jordanian electricity network in Aqaba to the Egyptian network in Taba to exchange electricity between the two networks.
This project is considered the main link within the framework of a larger project between the electric networks of Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq and Turkey, and it is considered a main connecting link for the Arabs and with Europe and Africa in the future.
He also said the cost of the project for the Jordanian side amounted to $90 million and that the project is financial by the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
