I'm a final year Electrical Engineering student in one of Malaysia Public University.
I'm doing my final project on Synchronous motor control.
I need help and advice on how to control the motor's Field Excitation for power factor correction purpose.
is there any known electronic circuitry of this controller?
can anyone advice me the method of controlling this field excitation?

Maybe You should find any informations about Aaron methods using for detecting angle between current and voltage. I know that on the method is based controller for compensation power factor in station in my factory to switch off and on capacitors. It is working excellent, but exactly I do not know the method, I did not need it.
When you will find the way to detect the angle and the sign, then it is easy to control the rest with any device controlling the value of excitation voltage.
