Why speed decreases when poles increases in synchronous motors?
Your answer should not be on the basis of this formula ,
N=120 F / P
Plz answer as a pure electritian.

Electrical rotation is changing from one pole polarity to the other. Say North pole to south pole.
A synchronous machine is always having even number of poles. A two poles machine will have the same electrical rotation as the mechanical rotation. As you increase the number of poles, the mechanical rotation is becoming lower than the electrical rotation. Thus the mechanical rotation is reduced when the number of poles are increased.
