Hey guys,
I have always been so fascinated with electricity but never knew too much about it career wise, i want to work as an electrician but was wondering would i need to go to college or would a trade school be fine? I really don't want to go to any more schooling than i have to, because i want to hopefully be working in like two - four years from now. But i am confused, would i need to go to college and get an electrical engineer degree first? or would trade school just be fine?

well how do you know who you want to be and what you want to do if your never really exposed to it. From what i know i just want to work with electricity, and i also want to work a job where i know that people will actually benefit from it. For example i really wouldnt want to do office work cause that work is expected and then forgotten, but when it comes to electricity like wiring a house or building with electricity i know that everyone will benefit from it and it would be more appreciated. Would you considered that helpful in a way to letting me know if electricity is what i really want to work with? I just want to know how most people find out that they want to be an electrician and like how they got started whether it is was from a connection with someone, or if they went to college, or a trade school? So please let me know any help given is greatly appreciated.Thank you
