There are two earth pits (unconnected to any external circuit), say about 50 meters apart. First one has an earth resistance of 1 ohm and the second one has an earth resistance of two ohms. What would be the resistance between these earth pits? In fact, the main question is, would it depend on the soil resistivity between these earth pits?

How did you manage to get 1 ohm and 2 ohms for the pits? I am sure you have done a test on it. Which means that your values has been dependent on the soil conditions during the time of testing.

If you want the total resistance, assume that the resistance are in parallel.
